Imported from Barcelona The Moaracute; collection is named for the effect of the two superimposed cylindrical shades, as if iridescent fabric were being used. Made of mesh material used in industrial curtains. The table lamp has an aluminum rectangular tube shaft finished in graphite that rises from a solid cast base, also finished in graphite. Design by Antoni Arola, 2003. The final design of your Moaracute; table lamp is up to you. Each table lamp can accomodate up to two shades. Choose from small (14″D X 12″H); medium (18.4 “D X 16 “H); or large (24.8″D X 24″H), and then choose white, red or metallic grey. Please see diagram for examples of possible combinations. Dimensions 12″W base, 39″H. Uses 3 X 100W 120V E26 (medium base) incandescent lamps (not included).

Imported from Barcelona A timeless table lamp that is a beacon of modern design. The Moragas captures the pragmatic temperament of one of Spain’s great philosophers of form. A central column of sapeli wood supports a generous combination of light and shadow. On/off switch is located on cord. Design by Antoni de Moragas Gallissa, 1957. The unusual shade is made of bookbinding tape. Because the ends of the tape are thicker, they create eloquent strips of light. Moreover, they heighten the impression of verticality in what is essentially a wide, round shade. It is said that Moragas had this lamp on his desk and that he used the spaces between the tape to hold calling cards and memos to himself. Moragas was a daring, rebellious architect, promoter of modern people-friendly architecture. Dimensions 18″D shade, 3.6″D base, 24.8″H. Uses 3 X 40W 120V E12 (candelabra base) incandescent lamps (not inlcuded).
