Design by Arturo Alvarez Custom tailor Curvas to your own tastes in any one of 12 different colors of hand-cut stained glass. The Curvas grande pendant is finished on top and bottom with an opal acrylic diffuser. Curvas is a continuous irregularity, curved pieces that fit into each other in a subtle movement, a sensation of well-being. A warm and elegant collection. Every Arturo Alvarez stained glass diffuser is handcrafted one-by-one by trained artisans in limited series. Each Arturo Alvarez original is yours alone; no two pieces are exactly the same. Following the painstaking production process, Arturo Alvarez himself engraves his signature and the series number onto the finished diffuser, certifying that the craftsman has exceeded Arturo’s personal standards for quality. Arturo Alvarez does not manufacture lights; they create original works of art whose beauty is optimized by illumination. Stainless steel canopy and fittings. Formed over millions of years along the riverbanks of easter Spain, the naturally translucent alabaster used for these fixtures is the of the white translucent variety. If you are looking for an even-toned pure white, however, please do not purchase this fixture: as a mined, naturally ocurring mineral, alabaster features varying shades of white as well as randomly-occurring irregular veining in mottled grey-brown tones . Unfortunately, we cannot pick pieces to match a particular pattern or shade you are looking for, but if you purchase two of the same item, we will do our best to match them to each other. To get a sense for the type of variation possible in this natural mineral, please see the alabaster samples image. Beautiful white alabaster domed ceiling light with graphite powder-coated metal support (siderods and swivels are stainless steel). 23″ diameter X 30″ overall height.
